Looking at v.16 we want to consider Christ’s Fullness. There is a void in the heart and life of both the lost sinner and the saved saint that can only be filled by the fullness of Christ. Let us consider your void, your nothingness, your need of Christ and His fullness. Notice three things. Christ is looking for emptiness. Christ can fill the void of lost sinners in salvation. Christ can fill the void for born again believers also in many ways. Conclusion: When you feel that void in your life, look to Jesus. See the miter on His high priestly head. Look again and see the crown instead as He is King of kings and Lord of lords. See Him handle the silver scepter. He could smite the nations with it and break them like a piece of pottery but He stretches it out in mercy and bids you touch it, saying thou hast received grace and favor of the Lord. Look again and His Kingly robe is a Prophet’s mantel and truth and wisdom drop from His lips. Sit at His feet and learn of Him. See the nail prints and worship the Lamb that was slain. AMEN
